The popular amulet collection known as Benja Pakhi includes the Somdej amulet from Wat Rakhang Khositaram and four other clay amulets. Similarly, there is a Benja Pakhi collection of metal amulets, which consists of Phra Rung with a bulletback and four other metal pieces. The final Benja Pakhi collection features popular coins, including the Luang Por Sothorn coin, the Luang Por Klan coin from Wat Phra Yat, the Luang Pu Eiam coin from Wat Nang, the Luang Pu Suk coin from Wat Pak Khlong Makham Thao, the Luang Por Chui coin from Wat Kongkaram, and the Luang Por Kong coin from Wat Bang Krapom.

The Luang Por Klan coin from Wat Phra Yat is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved copper coins with gold plating I have ever encountered. It is so well-preserved that even the nose of Luang Por Klan has intact gold plating, unlike the more common Luang Por Klan coins where the copper base is often exposed.

The coin bears the year 2469 in Thai numerals and features a wavy pattern above Luang Por. There is a buffalo horn mark above Luang Por, which is not very clear. The head is oval-shaped, with three lines on the forehead and clearly defined eyes, although the left eye is slightly sunken. The nose is large, and the lips are distinctly shaped.

The gold plating on the front is exceptionally well-preserved, while the aged gold plating appears slightly tarnished.

The back features a beautifully preserved yantra, and in the area of the “Uposatha” inscription, the end of the letter “บ” has a long line extending to the center yantra, which is a characteristic of an authentic piece.

This well-preserved Luang Por Klan coin made of copper with gold plating is considered one of the most valuable coins, estimated to be worth around 25 million baht.

I would like to thank the owner of this Luang Por Klan coin, Mr. Thanatat Thongniam, for kindly bringing the coin for me to see and for providing images for this presentation.
