The Phra Nang Phaya, Sanghati Mold, Large Size from Wat Nang Phaya is considered one of the most popular amulets in the Benjapakee set. The Sanghati mold in the large size is particularly beautiful. The head is smooth without distinct eyes, nose, or mouth, which is typical for this mold, often appearing with only a slight protrusion.

The amulet has wide triangular cut edges, showing a complete figure. Notably, both knees and ears are intact. This piece is sharp and well-defined in all parts, with complete mold details. A key feature of the Sanghati mold is the depression at the center of the forehead. The tip of the right ear splits into a shape resembling a drongo’s tail. The right shoulder is perpendicular and high, while the left shoulder slopes outward. The robe line, which runs diagonally down to the right arm, connects to the left ear and extends down as a sanghati line, forming a long strip reaching the center of the abdomen.

The left arm bends at the elbow, forming a hook-like shape with a pointed tip, resting above the lap. A distinguishing feature of the Phra Nang Phaya amulet from Wat Nang Phaya is the presence of embedded small granules in the amulet’s body and tightly adhered soil residue, clearly visible on the smooth back mold. There are also faint fingerprint impressions and a light residue of soil.

I would like to extend my gratitude to Mr. Thanathat Thongniam for generously providing the images used for this description, sharing knowledge and experience on this platform.
